Smart Rug

Problem Statement:

Children with Autism have the tendency to become overstimulated by their surroundings and daily activities, making these activities more challenging for them. They can become easily distracted with simple activities such as moving from one classroom to the next.

Current Solution:

a system of wireless modular tiles (maybe different shapes and textures) to guide, engage, and stimulate the senses of children with special needs. The pads must emit lights to help kids to be concentrated on the path to follow based on the instructions needed by therapists. It needs to indicate the next one to step in the path. The path must be configurable by phone/tablet app so that a path can be adjusted without reprogramming.
